Coming up!

February 3 we began our 10 week Sunday School Unit...There's a Psalm for That!

And join us in praying our way through Lent, beginning March 6 (Ash Wednesday).  We'll be using Prayer Jars!  Simply print off the prayers below, cut them apart, and place them in a jar (or other vessel - bowl, basket, or bag will do!).  Then, beginning March 6, pull one prayer slip a day to pray by yourself or with your family!

Keeping the Promise

In baptism, as parents you made a promise to raise your children in the Christian faith and life. At Atonement, we want to help you do that!

Keeping the Promise

As Lutherans, we believe that our faith, our relationship with God, is a gift freely given to us by God at our birth.  How we respond to and understand this gift is shaped by our ongoing connection to God’s Word.  While the gift of faith is freely given to us, the richness and expression of our faith depends on the kind of nourishment we receive.

Parents are the primary caregivers for their children and, in turn, their children’s faith.  What we as parents do, or don’t do, to nurture our children’s faith will influence our children’s relationship with God: how they know God’s love, how they live in God’s love, and how they share God’s love with others.  Atonement provides several programs to directly enrich or teach you to the spirituality of children from age 3 through Grade 6.

Children are spiritual beings.

They are born with an ability to connect and relate to themselves, other people, and to God our creator.  As children grow, their spiritual capacity needs nurturing to remain open to God's presence.
