Sunday Sifters

Sunday mornings, 10:05-10:50 a.m. in the Privacy Room
Sunday Sifters is a small group ministry that have built a community to wrestle with issues of faith and life. Currently they are in a time of leadership transition, meaning the topics for each Sunday morning are not set – but this opportunity allows for flexibility and response to what’s going on in the world right now. Please join us for a meaningful conversation and relationship building.

Luther’s Catechism for the 21st Century

Sunday mornings, 10:05-10:50 a.m. in F.122?
Luther’s Small Catechism, first published in 1529, was Martin Luther’s response to the discovery that adults attending mass were ignorant of the basics of Christian belief. Luther further concluded that those charged with teaching the faith were incompetent. What has a 16th century pamphlet have to do with the church of the 21st century? This adult class will read and discuss the Small Catechism in light of its question to explore the importance and relevance of the Small Catechism for today.

Summer Small Groups

Usually 6-8 weeks on Tuesdays during the summer
Summer small groups developed out of a desire for relationship building and faith conversation. Topic-based, we generally start with a dinner for those who can, watch a video together, and then break into small groups for discussion. Led by wonderfully gifted and trained lay leaders, these groups seek to get to know one another more and have conversation based on the videos, faith, and life.

Adult Forums

Presentations on important topics scheduled throughout the year
Adult forums are scheduled throughout the year and take the place of other adult offerings on Sunday morning. They can cover a wide range of topics: health issues organized by our Health Care Advocate, Ken Lord, presentations by youth on their summer trip, and more. We’ll let you know when the next one gets scheduled – please let us know if there is a topic important to you that we can discuss or for which we can organize a presenter.

Special Events through the year

Next up:  Midweek Lenten opportunities
