The Arts at Atonement


We cordially invite you to attend our new season of The Arts at Atonement Lutheran Church.  An array of outstanding performances appealing to a broad range of tastes will begin in October and continue through May. Other events may also be added later; check the church newsletter or local media sources for listings:

Mark your calendar: HAPRSICHORD DEDICATION CONCERT on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.  Atonement will join with Trinity Lutheran Church and Reading Musical Foundation for a HARPSICHORD DEDICATION CONCERT in honor of the Reverend Thomas and Amy Reinsel.  Purchased through the Kathleen & Karin Reinsel Early Instrument Fund of the Reading Musical Foundation.  The Roland C30 harpsichord is meant to be shared between the Atonement and Trinity congregations, as well as other churches, music organizations, and schools.  Performing on the instrument will be Tom Yenser, Karen Eddinger and David McConnell.  Joining them will be ECHO, the chamber choir of Opus One: Berks Chamber Choir; Wright Harvey, oboist; Daniel Bishop, cellist; and Peter Graf, playing recorder.  This concert is free and open to the public.  Following the concert, there will be a reception in the narthex in recognition of the Reinsel family.

Music Man in Concert Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Members of our children’s, youth and adult choirs will join forces to present a concert version of the beloved Broadway musical, The Music Man. All ages are welcome to the nave for this one-hour program. Invite your friends, family and neighbors! Calling current and former band members of all ages! If you play a band instrument, you are invited to join our “Music Man band.” Any level of playing is welcome. We will gather once or twice in May to rehearse a simplified version of “76 Trombones” for the concert on June 3. If you or your children are interested in participating, please email Tom Yenser at with name, instrument played, and grade for school-age children.
