Pastor Katie joined us in January of 2022 and is excited to help the congregation during this time of transition. Originally from Lynn, MA she obtained her BA at College of the Holy Cross in 2000 and her MDiv from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 2004. Ordained in 2004 her first call was at St. Mark’s Lutheran in Reading and she has been in the greater Reading area ever since serving various congregations. Katie is fluent in Spanish and is known for throwing Spanish words into her sermons and throughout the liturgy. (Que Dios te bendiga.). She recently became a certified Coach through the ELCA and coaches Pastors and congregations throughout the country. She lives in West Lawn with her husband, Anthony, a native of Peru, and their two daughters, Sofia and Kaia. She enjoys doing yoga, reading and traveling with her family.
