Sunday School

Fruit of the Spirit -- Sunday School this fall!

Sunday School is just around the corner, and our first 10 week unit is all about the 9 virtues of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that help us follow a life guided by the Holy Spirit. 

We welcome all of our Atonement children back to Sunday school with our Fall unit, Fruit of the Spirit.  We often want things done on our schedule, but sometimes having patience and waiting is a part of God's plan.

Each week during our 10-week themed units children in Kindergarten through 6th grade will begin with a dynamic group opening with Melissa Hazlett in Lundin Hall at 9:45AM.  Then students will be led by their teachers back to their classrooms for age-appropriate activities to further explore, learn and experience the stories, themes and main points of each lesson.  Activities will always vary and may include arts and crafts, music, team building, physical activities, games and other creative expressions.  Between each 10-week unit we will have activities and plans for our children during the Sunday School hour with a small break for teachers.

Children in preschool can report directly to their classroom in Room 3.

If you are interested in serving as a teacher or teaching assistant for the first 10 week unit of Sunday School, we would live to have you!  High schoolers can also serve as teaching assistants in the Sunday School!  The younger children love getting to interact with you and they look up to you--and the adults sure could use your help.  Anyone who would like to help with Sunday School, please contact Melissa Hazlett at mhazlett@atonementwyo.org
