Family Promise

Since 2008, Atonement Lutheran Church, partnered with Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, has been serving as Host Congregation for Family Promise of Berks County, the local affiliate of a national program, in its Interfaith Hospitality Network. Atonement provides the space, and both churches provide volunteers.  Contact: Dorothy DeLong at 484-529-0878, email pbjdelong@comcast.net

If you are not sure what it will be like watch this 15 minute volunteer training video from Family Promise National

We are going to start collecting Clearances for volunteers that interact with the families.  If you have clearances from helping with Sunday School or elsewhere, a copy for Dorothy DeLong, Family Promise Coordinator, would be lovely.  If you don't have clearances, it is free to get them online.  The Family Promise Clearances document explains how to get them and has links to the websites.  THANK YOU!

We will host families during these weeks this year, so save the dates! Click the dates below to sign up as a volunteer.
