from Kelly Fryer's book, Reclaiming the 'L' Word

1.  Jesus is Lord

2. Everyone is welcome.

3.  Love changes people.

4.  Everyone has something to offer.

5.  The world needs what we have.

Council is working to come up with a strategic plan now that Pastor Katie has been called as our Senior Pastor.

All members will be asked to help us re envision where God is calling us

Look for surveys, small groups and other events to come this fall.

When a member or friend of the congregation is in spiritual distress or other need, our pastoral care team and lay ministries are ready to step in with prayer, support, visits, and more.

Listed below are the many ministries that take place here at Atonement to help members and friends in times of need:

  • Visitation at hospital and rehab centers by members of our Pastoral Care Team
  • Homebound Visitation by our Visitation Pastor, Arthur Wyse
  • Health Advocacy, led by our Congregation Health Advocate Dr. Ken Lord, including:
    • Grief Booklets, sent in the year after a loved one's death.
    • Get-well cards after a hospitalization
  • Stephen Ministry, a lay-led ministry of accompaniment
  • Prayer Team
  • Card Ministry
  • Prayer Shawl Ministry
