Make a joyful noise to the Lord! Sunday morning worship is a vital part of who we are at Atonement. You are invited to participate in any and all ways and that starts with joining us for worship on Sundays at 10am.
Join us for worship every Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church and help us serve a meal.
Too many families experience homelessness. We have a great resource in Berks County called Family Promise of Berks County which helps families experiencing homelessness for the first time with a place to stay, vocational and interview skills training, job hunting, and much more.
Family Promise partnered with congregations to serve as host sites (Atonement shared its space 2008-2020) but due to Covid, they have changed to an Apartment Model in which families stay up to 90 days in houses that Family Promise rents.
Family Promise is using three rental properties that shelter 3-6 families (up to 20 people). The families move on to permanent housing as quickly as possible. Staying in one place during their time with Family Promise allows families to have bedtime routines for the children and more flexible work schedules. Since the families are in houses, they have access to a kitchen. Atonement provides groceries at the beginning of our host weeks, provide prepared meals on Mondays, and donate grocery gift cards to cover what we forget! Providing gift cards and groceries for the families instills self-sufficiency and empowers the client to oversee something when much of their current situation leads them to feel powerless, while cooked meals once a week provides a welcome break during this stressful time.
Atonement plans to provide groceries at the beginning of our host time, provide prepared meals on Mondays, and donate grocery gift cards to cover what we forget! Please help serve our Family Promise guests with delicious food, groceries and hope!

A few years ago, a group of volunteers came together to help members of our congregation who had a variety of needs. The group became known as the Helping Hands of Atonement.
Some of the jobs were as follows:
Initially we had about 8 people who became helping hands. Over time, these people have moved away or became too old to help. We are in need of more volunteers who can help us with this need. If you wish to help us, please call Ed Hein at 610-858-6601, Ken Lord at 610-223-8885, or Crystal at the church office, 610-3750-3512.
There are many opportunities to volunteer here at Atonement no matter your age.
All are welcome, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
