Faith Formation for children age 3 through grade 6 resumes September 15

 Atonement Lutheran Church offers two awards to high school seniors who will be attending college/university as freshmen in the fall.   Click here for details and to apply: Atonement Higher Education Awards (google.com) 

The confirmation ministry at Atonement is a two-year program that includes worship, learning, and serving, as well as forming a community built on respect, support, and love.  Students in the program are normally 7th and 8th graders or older, with 9th graders (or older) affirming their baptism (we often say “getting confirmed”!) on Reformation Sunday (this year it’s October 27).

Here’s a brief schedule for this fall:

• WORSHIP

Attend worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. – participate in worship as requested by Pastor Katie and Deacon Tom

• SERVICE EVENTS

Choose ONE of the following

1. Sunday, November 24 – Common Ground at Trinity, Reading: dinner and worship - Meet at 1:45 p.m. at Trinity, ending at approx. 4:00 p.m. Please note: Limited to 3-4 students and any parents who would like to accompany us.
2. Wednesday, November 27 – Thanksgiving Eve worship with Common Ground at Atonement: Meet at 6:45 p.m. in Narthex, ending at approx. 8:00 p.m.
3. Sunday, December 1 – Advent workshop - Meet at 8:45 a.m. in Lundin Hall to help with Advent workshop and clean up before worship at 10a.m. 
4. Wednesday, December 4 – Common Ground at Atonement - Meet at 5:45 p.m. in narthex, dinner at 6pm, service at 7pm ending at approx. 8:00 p.m.
5. Sunday, December 8 – Caroling – Meet in narthex at 3:45pm and travel to nursing homes or local homes to sing and bring good cheer to our older members 
6. Sunday, December 22 – help lead 10am worship for the Christmas Pageant

All classes are held on Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon in the choir room

• FELLOWSHIP
